Nostalgia can be described as a longing for a slower time, a space with in memory that seems to lengthen and grow in importance upon recounting. This mural employs this sentiment as point of departure, the portrait references the quite and slight moments experienced when participating in such rituals as beach combing, how the light falls on someones face for example. This artwork aims to represent what the community centre as a space offers within the framework of our society, genuine tangible connection.
